HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — Hopewell officials are shutting down rumors that the city was involved in a study that looked into building a data center, after a report last week linked the city to a consulting group that studies data center feasibility.
The Progress-Index originally reported that the technology consulting firm Volterra Advisors told them it had conducted a case study with the city and with property owners of a potential data center site. But both the city and the firm denied to 8News that they coordinated or communicated at all.
