CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The man accused of killing his wife and staging the scene to look like a suicide will remain behind bars after a judge denied his request for bond on Wednesday.
Ashlee Butler died in December 2021, but her husband, Ross Butler, wasn’t arrested for murder until May of this year. Police said they had been investigating him since Ashlee’s death — which they said was staged to look like a suicide, but was actually a homicide.
