A BELOVED church building with decades of history is set to be torn down after developers unveiled plans for a multi-million-dollar replacement.

The long-standing place of worship will make way for a huge new office block as part of a major expansion project expected to cost $17million.

The former Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virginia, has been bought by Virginia Physicians for Women (VPFW).

The organization plans to demolish the vacant building and replace it with a two-story, 32,000-square-foot medical office, according to local reports…
