RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Richmond man was sentenced to over 12 years in prison on Tuesday in connection with firearm and cocaine possession charges.
The man, 39-year-old Brian Lamont Jones, was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in prison on Aug. 12 for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of 28 grams or more of cocaine base — or crack cocaine — with intent to distribute, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
This comes after Jones sold cocaine to another person in March 2025, according to court documents. Richmond Police then searched his residence and found 67.08 grams of heroin and fentanyl, 156.09 grams of cocaine base and 320.21 grams of cocaine hydrochloride…
