RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Sitting on a bench at the United Network for Organ Sharing’s National Donor Memorial in Richmond, Hudson Day feels a renewed sense of purpose.
“You don’t realize just how precious and how put into scale life is until you’re given a second lease on it,” Day said. “Everyone says they have one shot and I almost lost my one shot.”
In December, the Chesterfield man talked to 12 On Your Side about his battle with a rare kidney disease and his need for a transplant.
“It would mean everything to me to have that higher quality of life,” Day said during an interview with 12 On Your Side in December.
