NORFOLK, Va. — Retailer The Dump announced it is closing its locations outside Virginia, a move that will leave it with two remaining stores in Norfolk and Richmond.
A notice sent to Home News Now said the retailer is closing its Atlanta, Tempe, Arizona, Chicagoland, Houston and Dallas locations. According to its website, it has one location in each metro area, with the exception of the Chicago region, where it has stores in Deerfield and Lombard.
According to a memo from company CEO Brian Woods obtained by Home News Now, the decision to wind down these operations “follows an extensive evaluation of our strategic alternatives. While this marks the end of these store operations, it does not diminish our associates’ pride and accomplishments over the last 23 years.”…
