RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A new class of synthetic opioids is raising alarms in hospitals and in the drug recovery field.
Orphines can be stronger than fentanyl, but they’re not detectable with fentanyl test strips. Experts who have been dealing with the opioid epidemic for decades said technology has simply not caught up to test for orphines.
