I live in Richmond, Virginia, and I don’t have to look at the calendar to know that it is October. That’s because Walgreens, my local pharmacy, calls to remind me to get a flu shot. I appreciated the reminder, made my appointment right then, and got my flu shot on October 1, 2026 because I am familiar with the phrase doctors use: “Flu before boo!”
