RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Nearly $5,000 in school funds were misused by Richmond Public Schools’ former director of facilities Ronald “Bobby” Hathaway, a report shows, reflecting additional concerns regarding the department outside of maintenance issues.
An anonymous complaint regarding Hathaway was shared with school officials on Feb. 4, prompting an investigation into the use of funds, systemic problems and allegations of workplace hostility within RPS’ facilities department.
