Police: Man shot in ‘lower posterior area’ in Hopewell

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — The Hopewell Police Department is investigating after a man was shot in his “lower posterior area” just after midnight on Thursday, Jan. 25.

According to the department, officers responded to the 3100 block of Franklin Street after receiving a call at 12:04 a.m. about a person shot.

When they arrived, officers found a man with a gunshot wound on his “lower posterior area,” according to the department. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
