Stafford Sheriff’s Office arrest man for Daily Planet Health Services van theft

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the man they arrested in connection to the theft of Daily Planet Health Services’ van, which was found in their jurisdiction.

The van was allegedly stolen in Richmond after it was dropped off for repairs on Saturday, Jan. 20. According to police, a Stafford resident reported seeing the van on the 2800 block of Richmond on Thursday, Jan. 25, after reading about the theft online.

Deputies responded to where the van was parked and found 35-year-old Alvaro Garcia nearby, with the key in his pocket.

Garcia was charged with grand larceny and taken to Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he is being held without bond.
