A Midlotheon Virginia movie theater turned church is being repurposed as apartments and townhomes

Churches across the nation are rebranding for various reasons Next City is reporting that a Virginia church near Richmond is planning to repurpose land and a building in order to support the community. Village of Faith Ministries in Sandstone has decided to convert its Southside location into 192 apartments and 40 townhomes.

The 1.5-acre property is in nearby Midlothian and includes a retail strip plus the church, itself which had been converted from a former movie theater. This project will result in seven three-story buildings across the front section, with townhomes in the rear of the property in place of parking spaces.
