Woman walks into Richmond hospital with gunshot wound, police investigating

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department is investigating after a woman walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at around 2 p.m., officers were called to the Richmond Community Hospital for the report of a person shot. When they arrived at the scene, they made contact with an adult female victim who had walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound.

According to police, the shooting took place in the 2100 block of N. 23rd St. and the victim’s injury is not considered life-threatening.
