Richmond Animal Care and Control to spay and neuter cats for free on World Spay Day

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Does your cat need to be spayed or neutered? Richmond Animal Care and Control is hosting a program this month to give fifty cats the procedure for free.

In honor of World Spay Day this month, Richmond Animal Care and Control will spay and neuter 50 cats for free on Feb. 26.

The procedures will carried out by Jones Veterinary Care, located at 1217 W. Leigh St., and will be paid by the Kara and Eden Project. The project will also cover a rabies vaccine.

The program only accepts cats that are in need of the procedure and are owned by a Richmond resident. Feral cats will not be accepted.
