RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run in the city’s Fan District.
Around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, officers were called to the intersection of West Broad Street and North Lombardy Street for a reported collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian.
Upon their arrival, officers found a woman who had been hit by a vehicle. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to police, the vehicle had left the scene.
“VCU Police were on scene and are assisting with this investigation,” said a police spokesperson. “The Richmond Police Department Crash Team is responding and are the lead investigators.”
