PHOTOS: ‘Night to Shine’ prom celebration gives guests with disabilities the royal treatment

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Last night’s “Night to Shine,” a nationwide prom event held annually for those with disabilities, was certainly a night to remember.

On Friday, Feb. 9, three churches in the Richmond area — Cool Spring Baptist Church, Fairmount Christian church and West End Presbyterian Church — held their Night to Shine 2024 events alongside countless other host churches nationwide.

“Our three church hosts are proud to be catalysts of change in how we embrace people with disabilities and to rally the church worldwide to honor their local community of people with special needs, ensuring they know they are valued and loved,” said a spokesperson for the Tim Tebow Foundation, who sponsors the event each year.

Guests got to walk the red carpet, have their hair and makeup done and receive plenty of prom favors — including crowns and tiaras to complete their royal looks.
