Police: Man steals utility trailer from Lowe’s in Chesterfield County, makes fraudulent purchases

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find a man who allegedly stole a utility trailer from Lowe’s and made fraudulent purchases.

On Oct. 20, 2023, police said a white male suspect stole a utility trailer from Lowe’s, located at 2601 Weir Place in Chesterfield County.

The suspect cut the security cable off the trailer and attached it to a black Chevrolet Colorado that is believed to have a temporary tag from another state, according to police.

The trailer was valued at $2,949 and has not been found.

Later, police said that the same suspect made 11 unauthorized purchases for over $23,000 to a commercial account belonging to “The Honey Done Company,” which is based out of South Carolina.

Police released the images below in an effort to locate the suspect and the trailer.
