HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A fire blazed through the roof of a home in Henrico County early Monday morning.
Firefighters with the Henrico County Division of Fire arrived at the two-story home, located at the 4200 block of Mylan Road, at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12.
Officials said three residents of the home were able to escape before crews arrived.
According to a spokesperson for the division, 24 firefighters from multiple units brought the fire under control in about 45 minutes.
The fire appeared to have started in the attic, according to responders.
The spokesperson said Fire Marshall’s were on scene investigating the cause of the fire.
The division reminds residents to always have working smoke detectors, “as it can mean the difference of getting out alive.”
