Police: Man arrested in Petersburg for carrying concealed firearm as a convicted felon

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — A man was arrested in Petersburg after a concealed handgun was found on his person, according to the Petersburg Bureau of Police.

According to a press release, 38-year-old Kevin Fisher was approached in the 2200 block of County Drive by officers working in the area on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

A concealed handgun was found in his possession, according to police.

Fisher was arrested at the time of his encounter with police. He has since been charged with possession of a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
