Virginians report UFO sightings
July 2 is World UFO Day, and people share their stories. AXIOS says in Virginia, Richmond is the location with the most reports of unidentified flying objects. I have yet to speak to anyone who has shared the experience of seeing a UFO.
I thought I saw one as a 10-year-old when I noticed what appeared to be a yellow orb in the sky above my back door. There were no street lights, so it was pitch black, and I was both fascinated and afraid. The next evening at dusk, I realized I had only seen the doorbell on the home my cousins had built up the hill behind our house.
By World UFO Day 2023, Patch says Virginians had filed 34 reports of seeing unidentified flying objects. At that time, Jonathan Grey, a US intelligence official with the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, said, “We are not alone.”
