Two people stabbed in Richmond on same night

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Two people are hurt after two separate stabbings in Richmond within the same evening.

The Richmond Police Department responded to two stabbings that took place the night of Thursday, Aug. 1. The first happened in the 2700 block of Tate Street and the second in the 2100 block of Ingram Avenue.

The calls came in within about an hour of one another. According to police, these incidents are not related.

In both cases, the victim was an adult who had injuries not considered life-threatening. Police could not provide any additional information on the victims as of the time of reporting.

8News asked if the department is searching for suspects or if any arrests had been made. A spokesperson said these incidents remain under investigation.

No other information is available on either stabbing at this time.
