RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One person is dead after a car caught fire in a crash off of Chippenham Parkway on Saturday morning.
According to Virginia State Police, they responded to a scene at around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, involving a car that caught fire after crashing on the Jahnke Road exit ramp on northbound Chippenham Parkway.
The driver was the only person in the car, and died from their injuries at the scene. Troopers are currently working to identify the victim and notify their next of kin.
The crash is still under investigation.
