RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Tomorrow, the Richmond Police Department (RPD) will be hosting a Free Steering Wheel Lock Giveaway.
In efforts to decrease car thefts in Richmond, RPD is hosting a Steering Wheel Lock Giveaway. The event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at MLK Jr. Middle School, located at 1000 Mosby Street.

According to police, the event will be a quick and efficient way for Richmond residents who own Hyundai and Kia cars to receive a steering wheel lock for free while supplies last.
For those interested, simply drive up to the parking lot and show proof of Richmond residency, as well as proof of ownership of a Hyundai or a Kia.
