PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Mobile Soul Sunday came to Petersburg this weekend and brought food vendors, community resources, activities for the kids and much more.

Mobile Soul Sunday — hosted by the Richmond Black Restaurant Experience (RBRE) — came to Petersburg Union Station on Sunday, Aug. 18 from 2 to 7 p.m. with over 10 food vendors, a bounce house zone for the kids, live music and an art walk.

Jess Snyder, an RBRE Coordinator, spoke with 8News about why they decided to head down to Petersburg this time around.

“We’ve been based in Richmond but Petersburg has its own history too, and they have their own food trucks and their own business and they have life down here too,” Snyder said. “We just want to spread it to them as well, give them the opportunity to experience what the Richmond Black Restaurant Experience family is about.”
