Africa Fest 2024 in Colonial Heights: Music, vendors, food trucks, fashion, free entry

COLONIAL HEIGHTS — Celebrate people and culture of African descent at Africa Fest 2024. The free festival with fashion, mouthwatering cuisines, lively music, dance, vendors, back to school supply giveaways and more is promoted by the nonprofit Unapologetically Black and presented by the Cunningham Foundation. Enjoy a day of family fun on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at White Bank Park.

“We had over 350 people come out last year. Everything was great. It was a peaceful, diverse event. Attendees are exposed to African culture and foods. There will be African, Caribbean and soul food vendors, and we are still seeking more food as well as merchant vendors,” U.S. Airforce veteran LaToya Cunningham, CEO and founder of Cunningham Foundation and Africa Fest, said.
