RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A 44-year-old man has been identified as the victim in a Chamberlayne Avenue shooting that happened on Friday.
According to Richmond Police, at around 2:51 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, officers were called to the 4900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Antonio Lewis who was injured with an apparent gunshot wound in an alley.
Lewis was then taken to a nearby hospital where he died due to his injuries. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
