The Virginia Department of Transportation will host its annual Touch-A-Truck event Oct. 26 at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds as part of National Crash Responders Safety Week.
The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 10300 Courthouse Road and will allow families to learn about safety and rescue vehicles, including fire trucks, helicopters, police cars, motorcycles, tow trucks, and antique fire trucks. Safety demonstrations also will take place.
Parking for the event will be at Lloyd C. Bird High School. National Crash Responders Safety Week is Nov. 18-22.
