RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — September is library card sign-up month and Richmond Public Library is celebrating by highlighting all the things residents can do with a library card.
According to Richmond Public Library, from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30 their local branches are offering visits from mascot Ripple, free library card replacements and free scoops at Gelati Celesti .
Ripple will be visiting each location to do a special story time as well as hand out limited edition bookmarks and activity books to attendees. Here’s a schedule of his planned visits:
- East End — Sept. 4 at 10 a.m.
- Ginter Park — Sept. 5 at 11 a.m.
- Belmont — Sept. 10 at 10:30 a.m.
- Broad Rock — Sept. 11 at 4 p.m.
- North Avenue — Sept. 12 at 2 p.m.
- Hull Street — Sept. 18 at 10:30 a.m.
- Westover Hills — Sept. 19 at 10:30 a.m.
- Main — Sept. 26 at 10:30 a.m.
- West End — Sept. 29 at 2 p.m.
