GRTC to host public meetings on expansion of routes in Richmond area

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) will host public meetings and pop-up sessions in September and October about extensions to existing routes that are in the works.

According to GRTC, for the North-South Pulse project , which will connect Richmond’s Northside and Southside to the existing GRTC Pulse and more, it will host three pop-up sessions along the future route.

In addition, a public meeting will be held at Richmond Main Street station from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, and a virtual public meeting will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19.

For the Western Extension Pulse project , which will extend the Pulse from Willow Lawn to Parham Road in Henrico County, GRTC will host its first public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Libbie Mill Library.

  • Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at St. Paul’s Catholic Church Food Pantry (909 Rennie Avenue)
  • Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the GRTC Downtown Transfer Station (8th Street and Clay Street)
  • Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Hull Street Branch – Richmond Public Library (1400 Hull Street)
