Richmond Ballet announces move to Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Ballet will soon be moving to Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Recently, Richmond Ballet announced a highly-anticipated move to VMFA’s Leslie Cheek Theater at the beginning Spring of 2025.

According to Richmond Ballet, the new season and expected move is promised to inspire its audience through bold artistic expressions, contemporary works and graceful classics.

The Studio Finale for Richmond Ballet will take place between Sept. 17 through Sept. 22 at the Studio Theatre. These performances will be the final farewell to the space that has accommodated Richmond Ballet’s students and choreographers for over 23 years.

  • Dec. 7 through Dec. 23
  • Featuring the Richmond Symphony at Dominion Energy Center

Cinderella

  • Feb. 14 through Feb. 16
  • Featuring the Richmond Symphony at Dominion Energy Center

Moving Art 1

  • March 20 through March 30
  • At the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
