College admissions on the rise in greater Richmond, according to SCHEV data

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — College admissions are on the rise in several greater Richmond localities — as well as Virginia on the whole — according to recent reports.

According to recent data from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), offers of admission to colleges and universities have generally increased over the last three years across the state — as well as in three major localities in the Richmond region.

Additionally, SCHEV released information regarding several other aspects of higher education in Virginia, including enrollment, admission rate, rejection rate and the number of degrees awarded.

The following data provides a closer look at how Chesterfield County, Henrico County and the City of Richmond compare to Virginia as a whole when it comes to higher education commitment.

All of the data listed below was gathered and reported by SCHEV. It is organized by the reported locality of a student’s origin (as noted at the time of their admission).
