UPDATE: All lanes have reopened and the scene is clear.
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A multi-vehicle crash in Richmond is causing significant backups on Interstate 95 and Interstate 64.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash took place on I-95 North at mile marker 77.5, between the Chamberlayne Avenue and Arthur Ashe Boulevard interchanges. The northbound center and right lanes are both currently closed.
Traffic on I-95 is backed up past the Maury Street interchange and traffic on I-64 is backed up to the Mechanicsville Turnpike interchange. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays.
