RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The re-imagined version of a holiday staple will be coming to Richmond just in time for Christmas this year.
The Altria Theater will be visited by “The Hip Hop Nutcracker” on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. to showcase a holiday performance that is fun for the whole family.
According to the theater, while many may be familiar with the Tchaikovsky version of “The Nutcracker,” this “re-mixed and re-imagined” take on the classic will feature a cast of dancers, a DJ, a violinist and MC Kurtis Blow.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m., starting at $39.50.
