RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The City of Richmond’s Department of Public Works announced multiple street closures scheduled to take place in Richmond next week.
Tredegar Street
- Where : From 2nd Street to Tredgar street
- When : Monday, Sept. 16 through Friday, Sept. 20
According to DPW, the closure is due to a contractor testing chlorination. A detour will be in place to direct drivers through the closure.
West Broad Street
- Where : 1st Street between Grace Street and Broad Street
- When : Monday, Sept. 16 through Monday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This closure is due to a contractor conducting a type Z excavation on the sewer lines and other utilities, according to DPW. A detour will be installed to direct drivers through the closure.
West Grace Street
- Where : 1600 to 2500 blocks of West Grace Street
- When : Monday, Sept. 16 to Friday, Sept. 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to DPW, there will be alternating street closures and intersection closures for asphalt paver repairs. Some lanes of travel will be closed temporarily during the process.
