RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia residents can apply for a new license plate created by Diversity Richmond in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.
According to Diversity Richmond , to make its Celebrate Diversity license plate a reality, the organization needs 450 applications and payments by the opening of the 2025 General Assembly session in January.
The license plate’s preliminary design features the Progress Pride Flag at the bottom, as well as hands, some of which are the colors of the Pride and Transgender flags, gathered together in unity on the left side of the plate.
According to Diversity Richmond, the license plate will cost $25, or $35 to personalize it.
