Richmond restaurant closes one year after opening

WRIC 8 News reported that a Mexican-American restaurant in Richmond’s historic Jackson Ward will close its doors on Sunday, September 29, a year after opening its first brick-and-mortar location.

According to the announcement of the closing, Sincero will continue with business as usual until closing time on Sunday. Dinner service will run from 5 to 10 p.m. and happy hour from 5 to 6 p.m.

About Sincero Restaurant

Sincero began operating as a pop-up Mexican-American small plate, sandwich, and taco spot in Hatch Local Food Hall in 2019. On September 24, 2023, owners Alex Bobadilla and Karen Negvesky announced the official opening of an independent brick-and-mortar location at 404 North 2nd Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219. The closing announcement comes exactly one year later.
