Four men arrested after investigation into Richmond vape shop, narcotics and firearms seized

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Four men were arrested on Tuesday following a lengthy investigation into a Richmond tobacco and vape shop, according to the Richmond Police Department.

During an Oct. 2 crime briefing, Chief of Police Rick Edwards announced that the department recently conducted an investigation into Dank’s Tobacco and Vape Shop, located at 1311 E. Brookland Park Blvd. in Richmond.

According to Edwards, several complaints were made about the shop, prompting the department to launch an investigation that lasted several weeks. The nature of these complaints was not provided.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, a search warrant was executed at the shop, resulting in the arrest of three men: Reshawn Moseley, Myron Johnson and Rakwon Simmons. According to Edwards, 3 handguns, marijuana and crack cocaine were seized during the search.

The Fire Marshal’s office has closed the shop and posted a “no trespassing” sign at the front of the building. Edwards said fire officials are also actively investigating the establishment.
