Petersburg’s National Faith and Blue Day event: Free community fun day

PETERSBURG – Join local law enforcement, faith organizations, churches and members of the community for a day of resolution, reconciliation, connection and wonderful festivities for the entire family on Saturday, October 19 from noon – 4 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to take chairs, relax and enjoy the festivities at Petersburg’s National Faith and Blue Day held at the Petersburg Sports Complex. According to Sheriff Vanessa R. Crawford, the goal of this national event is to create safer and stronger communities by connecting law enforcement officers and the residents they protect and serve.

National Faith and Blue Weekend is a collaborative effort to build bridges and break biases. The event gives people who have never met with law enforcement and may be a bit skeptical an opportunity to spend time with them alongside their friends and neighbors at a fun, safe, community event
