RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A stray dog who was taken in by Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) now has a new life with her family after adoption.
According to the shelter, In The Thicket was spotted running stray and hiding in thickets by multiple people in Richmond. RACC staff attempted to catch her for a few days, and eventually trapped her.
The dog was taken into the shelter and cared for, then cleared for adoption. During a sponsored free weekend, she was an instant match with a family and adopted.
Anyone looking to open their home to a furry friend can visit the shelter’s webpage on the city’s website to see adoptable pets.
