Thefts from vehicles reported at several Richmond fire stations

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police Department detectives are investigating several reports of thefts from vehicles at fire stations between mid-December to the beginning of the 2025 new year.

According to the Richmond Police Department, detectives are investigating seven reported incidents involving thefts from vehicles, as well as damage to vehicles, at several fire stations in the city as recent as Friday, Jan. 3.

On the morning of Friday, officers took the following reports related to vehicle windows being broken and items stolen from vehicles at several Richmond fire station parking lots:

  • 300 block of N. 24th St. : an unknown person was reported to have broken the window of a vehicle in the fire station’s parking lot where officers said a firearm was stolen.
  • 400 block of Labrook Concourse: an unknown person broke the window of four vehicles in the fire station parking lot, where several personal items were reportedly stolen from two of the vehicles.
  • 2400 block of Broad Rock Boulevard: an unknown person reportedly broke the window of a vehicle in the fire station parking lot, however, nothing was reported stolen.
