RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — As the effects of the first winter storm of 2025 continue to be seen across the Commonwealth, some Central Virginia school divisions are choosing to close on Tuesday.
The following school districts or schools in Central Virginia will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 7 due to severe winter weather:

- Essex County Public Schools
- Fluvanna County Public Schools
- Goochland County Public Schools
- Greensville County Public Schools
- Hanover County Public Schools
- Henrico County Public Schools
- Hopewell City Public Schools
- King and Queen County Public Schools
