The 2025 Jefferson Cup has come to an end after four exciting weekends of soccer in Richmond, Virginia. Over 2,000 teams from 30 states and multiple countries competed in one of the biggest youth soccer events of the year, marking an increase in participation from last year — over 1,800 teams from 29 states and multiple countries competed in 2024.
The event took place over four weekends in March, starting with the Boys Weekend (U9- U14) on March 8 and 9, followed by the Girls Weekend (U9-U14) on March 15 and 16. The competition continued with the Girls Showcase (U15-19) from March 21-23 and ended with the Boys Showcase (U15-U19) from March 28-30. With this year’s scores imminent, Montgomery County teams, like last year, had a strong presence at the 2025 Jefferson Cup, with several clubs showing great talent. This year, the Potomac Soccer Club’s ECNL 2010 Boys and Bethesda SC 10 ECNL competed at a high level in the boys’ showcase, demonstrating skill and determination against top national competition.
Bethesda SC ECNL 08 also had a strong showing, continuing their reputation as one of the area’s premier clubs. On the girls’ side, MSI 2010 Girls Gold and MSI 2008 Girls Gold represented Montgomery County with competitive performances in their age groups…
