With the surge of young animals, Tidewater Wildlife Rescue is looking for volunteer transporters across Hampton Roads, Richmond, the Peninsula, and Tappahannock areas. The organization uses a messenger platform to connect volunteers with urgent transport needs. Alerts work like a text message, ensuring a quick response.

Joining the effort is simple:

  1. Download the WhatsApp application for your smartphone.
  2. Text your name to (757) 434-3439.
  3. Receive transport regulations and instructions to join the transport threads.

Volunteers are asked to complete at least one transport per month to remain active in the network…
