RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) -What would you do if you bought a new home and shortly after moving in, you were hit with a $5,000 utility bill?
That’s what happened with a Richmond couple who have been fighting with the Department of Utilities to get the bill reduced to a normal balance.
DPU reduced the bill in half, but the couple still owed more than $2,000, which is way more than their usage. They have had no luck resolving this, so they contacted the 12 On Your Side investigators…
