CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – A crash involving a Chesterfield firetruck closed lanes of Interstate 95 on Wednesday morning.
The Virginia Department of Transportation said at 11:23 a.m. that all the southbound lanes were closed near Route 620 (Woods Edge Road) due to a multi-vehicle crash.
The interstate has since reopened. Later in the day, Chesterfield Fire and EMS confirmed that Engine 202, one of their trucks, was involved in the crash.
“At the time of the crash, the engine and the firefighters onboard were heading back to the station after clearing up from a separate accident scene along I-95,” Chesterfield Fire said in a post on Facebook. “Thankfully, only minor injuries to firefighters and civilians occurred, and no one was transported to the hospital.”…
