Richmond’s Northside area to see multiple road closures

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The City of Richmond’s Department of Public Works (DPW) announced there will be several closures in Richmond’s Northside area over a period of two weeks.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily starting Sunday, June 15 and ending Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be closures in the following areas:

  • Brook Road and Westbrook Avenue intersection
  • Brook Road and Azalea Avenue intersection
  • Azalea Avenue in between Brook Road and Chamberlayne Avenue
  • Hermitage Road in between Laburnum Avenue and Westbrook Avenue
  • Westbrook Avenue in between Hermitage Road and Brook Road

According to DPW, a contractor will be installing conduits and junction boxes for fiber optic communications in the future. In addition, the contractor will be pouring concrete and making repairs to the sidewalk area.
