CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – Chesterfield County Sheriff Karl Leonard confirmed Tuesday that United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained 14 people in recent days.
Leonard says ICE agents showed up at the courthouse on Friday and detained six people. They came back on Monday and detained six more, and then detained two more people on Tuesday.
“All 14 were defendants appearing off the street for court appearances in our General District Court for a myriad of both misdemeanor and felony offenses,” Leonard said in a social media statement…
