The Texas Inn is one of the oldest diners in Virginia, founded in 1935. Despite the name, the classic Texas Inn diner is located in four Virginia locations, and not in Texas. However, there are Texas Inns in Texas for lodging. They are motels all over Texas and not diners.

About the Texas Inn in Virginia
Founded by Nick Bullington in 1935, the Texas Inn is an “old school” diner with red stools and Southern homemade food. Legend has it that Bullington paid a San Antonio, Texas chef only $5 for his chili recipe in 1927. That original chili recipe is a favorite at the Texas Inns in Virginia.
The menu
The Texas Inn is part of a Virginia legacy for serving up comfort food classics with a side of nostalgia. It is the home of the Cheesy Western burger. The Smashburger contains egg, cheese, and diced onions. It is described as “heaven on a bun.”
