RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – The cause of a “large” fire in Shockoe Bottom that damaged multiple businesses and residential buildings last week has been revealed.
According to Richmond Fire, the blaze was started by cigarette butts that were thrown in a flower pot.
This happened at the apartments connected to the Daily Menu towards the back of the building on June 25.
Flames burned through the roof, and the fire quickly spread to three other businesses: OMG OCP, Tipsy Crab and Plush. Some of those businesses included apartment units…
