RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Data from the Virginia Department of Public Utilities (DPU) shows that in fiscal year 2024, Richmond saw the highest number of contractor issued tickets since fiscal year 2005.
In 2024 Richmond issued 128,756 standard issued citations and saw $5.2 million dollars in standard issued citations– the highest amount since 2019 which saw$5.3 million in citations.
According to spreadsheet data 8News obtained from DPU, fiscal year 2023 also saw almost $5 million in contractor issued citations, the third highest next to fiscal year 2019 and 2024…
